  2. Being followed or attacked in a deserted area: Walking alone at night or in secluded places can be nerve-wracking.

  3. Not being believed if something happens: Fear of not being taken seriously if they report a threat or assault.

  4. Escalating a situation by trying to defend themselves: Worrying that trying to fight back might make things worse.

  5. Using a self-defense tool incorrectly or accidentally hurting themselves: Fear of fumbling with pepper spray or an alarm in a tense situation.
